SAM Airline is a subsidiary and regional airline of Avianca, the national airline and flag carrier of Colombia, founded in 1945, the airlines headquarters is in Bogota Colombia with its 2 main hubs located at El Dorado International Airport, Bogota and Jose Maria Cordova International Airport, Medellin Colombia.
SAM Airline parent company is Synergy Group which also owns OceanAir in Brazil, Avianca and Tampa Cargo in Colombia, AeroGal and VIP in Ecuador, Capital Airlines in Nigeria and Grupo TACA and its subsidiaries.
Today SAM Airline has a fleet of 16 aircraft and serves 49 destinations when combined with Avianca, with extensive coverage throughout South America, North America Central America and the Caribbean.
